Welcome to the ETSU Research Corporation's newsletter, The Beacon, where we share news and updates from the past month. We have exciting updates below from the ETSU Innovation Lab, MBA students and more!
Congratulations to Dr. Depelteau!
Dr. Audrey Depelteau, director of the ETSU Innovation Lab, was recently selected as one of 40 Fellows in the ARC's Appalachian Leadership Institute! During this nine-month program, she will work alongside other Fellows to exchange ideas, expand leadership skills and make connections to move Tennessee forward.
The MBA team is comprised of online students who meet via Zoom to strategize on the CIIDI project. Pictured L-R from the top: Lorrie Larkins, William Heise (instructor and RC Fellow), Leon Dumas (student team leader), Justin McFarland and Rachel Hudson.
One of the RC-supported MBA capstone teams is assisting the ETSU Center of Excellence in Inflammation, Infectious Disease and Immunity (CIIDI) in their overall strategy and growth during the 2021-22 academic year. The MBA team has already completed an initial background review into CIIDI's history and functionalities as they prepare for the strategic planning process. As an essential component of the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine, CIIDI supports research and new approaches to understanding, diagnosing and treating human diseases.
The RC team had an excellent tour of CIIDI on Sept. 22. Read more about it here.
