February was a busy month for the ETSU Research Corporation. We are excited to share some highlights and also introduce you to new faces on our team. 

Rep. Harshbarger Visits Our Headquarters

Our team recently hosted Representative Diana Harshbarger to discuss potential for workforce development opportunities at East Tennessee State University, in the Appalachian Highlands and beyond. It was great to discuss our shared hope for regional prosperity and ongoing development.

Meet Our Interns

This spring we welcomed three undergraduate interns to the ETSU Research Corporation team, representing the ETSU College of Business and Technology as well as the College of Arts and Sciences. Audra Miller will complete a graphic design internship. Lexi Ervin joins as a marketing/brand communication intern. Jonathan Simoneaux joins as a computing intern.

Innovative Partnership with Tennessee Hills

ETSU's new Brewing & Distillation Studies minor blends science, entrepreneurship and marketing expertise within the university and innovates through workforce development experiences at Tennessee Hills Brewstillery.

Highlights

Congratulations to James L. Adkins, new director of the Center of Excellence in Inflammation, Infectious Disease, and Immunity Clinical Research Office.

The STREAMWORKS RDL DragonFly Championship is March 12 at East Tennessee State University’s Center for Physical Activity.

Last month WHOI premiered "Life in an Ocean World," to explore what the next generation of astronauts are doing to discover life elsewhere. 

Ben Arnold, an ETSU Innovation Lab member, recently finalized the purchase of Cove Ridge Marina and Campground in Butler, Tennessee.
